County Extension Office offering Creating a Cook’s Box Class, March 26

PRESCOTT — Discover the practical magic of a well‑stocked pantry as the Nevada County Depot Museum partners with the Nevada County Extension Office to present Build a Cook’s Box, a hands‑on workshop led by County Extension Agent Sheila Ballard. Participants will learn how to stock a Cook’s Box! This engaging evening program explores what pioneer families kept in their pantries and shows participants how to translate those timeless essentials into a modern, ready‑to‑use Cook’s Box.

“A well-organized pantry keeps essential ingredients on hand, reduces meal-time stress, saves money,” said presenter Sheila Ballard, “This helps families prepare quick, nutritious meals with ease at home or away on a camping adventure.”
The cost is $11 per person, and all supplies are provided. Registration is required, and seating is limited. Deadline to register is March 24.
