Spring Hill School News

Spring Hill news includes a reward trip to Six Flags in Texas, Junior Cheer tryouts, early dismissal on the 20th, CyberGen Hackathon results and outstanding student athletes. Also shared were the Elementary students recognized for Kindness during February and completed projects from Mrs. Plant’s 7th Grade Strategic Reading Class.
The trip to Six Flags is for 8th-11th graders on April 17th.  Students have been given permission slips. They are due this Friday March 20th and won’t be accepted any later. Students and parents are asked to review the itinerary and expectations. There’s a link the school website. The buses will leave at 6 AM from the School Gym parking lot and from Six Flags at 5 PM. They will arrive back at the school between 9:30 and 10 PM. Things to bring include money for snacks and souvenirs and comfortable clothing and walking shoes.
The cheer tryouts include an optional practice on Tuesday, mandatory Mock Tryouts on Thursday at 3:30 PM and Official Tryouts on Friday at 8:15 AM.
In the 2026 Cybergen Hackathon at U of A in Little Rock the team finished 3rd out of 25. Brayden Roberts, Braiden Bryan and Reagan Llewallen competed.
Student athletes are commended for their dedication, hard work and commitment both on and off the court and field! They include Jaxon Smith, Maddox Dixon, Mason Moore, Karson Hamilton, Trenton Adair, Paxon Link, Landon Camp, Levi Askew, Henry Townsend, Grayon Stout, Braxton Bobo, Tim Landis, Connor Dunham, Anna Flowers, Jackson Lutz and Knightley Porter and Aya McBrayer.
Students who showed kindness earned a token to visit the book machine.
7th Graders did great work depicting scenes from one of their class novels. They were exhibited in front of the HS library.
