Ferrell E. Johnson passed away March 17, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas. Ferrell was born on August 18, 1938, to Issac and Geneva Johnson, in Cale, Arkansas. After graduating high school, he joined the US Navy and retired as a Senior Chief Aerographer’s Mate. After 24 years, he then moved his family to Cale, AR.
Ferrell is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Loudene, Erma, and Janis. He is survived by his wife, Mildred A. Johnson; sons, Randy (Melody) of Cale, AR, Larry Keith (Carole) of Blythewood, South Carolina; one sister, Alma Smeltzer (Frank) of Cale, AR; grandsons, Richard Johnson (April) of Cale, AR, Joseph Johnson (Shelby) of Cale, AR, Nichoal Jones (Meg) of Youngsville, North Carolina; granddaughters, Kristi Frye (George) of Swansea, South Carolina, and Ashley Martinez of Shreveport, LA; six great grandsons and four great granddaughters; several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be March 28, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, AR.
