PRESCOTT – Curley Wolves and Lady Wolves outrace the competition

Curley Wolves track team took first place at the Gurdon Southern Bancorp Relays while the Lady Wolves won runner-up.

The community is thanked for their support of the bake sale.

Prescott Junior High Talent Search students went to G.R.A.C.E. STEM Lab at Ouachita Baptist University. They joined Camden Fairview peers for a hands-on workshop led by Shanea Nelson. The focus was on tackling the global challenge of clean freshwater access. Teams designed devices to turn unsafe water into safe drinking water while learning to keep asking questions, experimenting and building solutions.

In the newsletter, Prescott Junior High Principal Jeffrey Burton thanked everyone who attended the parent teacher conferences. Support matters and conversations play a big role in student success.

During the conference the parent Engagement Survey was shared. Feedback, whether positive or negative, is important.

Friday Academic Support will begin on April 3rd for the hours of 8-11. Extra help will be given in math, science and reading. To sign up their child parents are requested to email the principal at jburton@prescottschool.net

Tutoring statistics are mentioned: 1,100 sessions given with close to 59 thousand minutes of students practicing reading and math skills. 68 percent of the students made progress on lessons. 420 unique lessons were reviewed

Students are encouraged to enjoy their Spring break and take the time to rest, recharge and enjoy the time with family.

The 4th Quarter will begin right after Spring Break and students are encouraged to finish the last stretch strong.
