HOPE — Southwest Arkansas Regional Medical Center is proud to
announce the appointment of Dean Otey as its new Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than
25 years of healthcare finance and leadership experience to the organization.
Otey is a seasoned hospital financial executive known for strengthening financial performance,
improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term sustainability in rural healthcare
settings. His expertise includes revenue cycle management, financial strategy, compliance, and
leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Most recently, Otey served as Chief Financial Officer at Seminole Hospital District in Seminole,
Texas, where he improved revenue cycle processes, reduced billing inefficiencies, and
increased cash collections. Prior to that, he held executive leadership roles with Boa Vida
Healthcare, where he helped lead financial operations across multiple critical access hospitals
and rural health clinics. During his time with Boa Vida, he was part of the team that guided three
hospitals out of bankruptcy, all of which continue to operate successfully today.

Otey shared his enthusiasm for joining the organization.

Otey holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University and
maintains professional certifications through the Healthcare Financial Management Association,
including Certified Healthcare Financial Professional.
