FACT ends school year on high note

HOPE Families and Children Together (FACT, Inc.) Head Start campuses recently closed for school year 2017-18.

The organization recognized several of its centers for outstanding non-federal share, or in-kind, match. The Hope campus played a big part in the agency exceeding the annual program-wide in-kind goal by 60 percent. Federal regulations require grantees to meet 20 percent matching of federal Head Start and Early Head Start funding. The contribution of goods, time spent by parents or other community members as an aide, or donated space are counted as in-kind.

Hope Center administration organized an End of the Year awards and transition ceremony for families. Tracy Ford, men from Ambrosia Lodge #224, and Eddie Garcia,  assisted with presentations and motivational speeches at the Fair Park.

Families with children three-to-five are welcome to come to the Hope campus at 419 Henry C. Yerger St., Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. to complete an application for the upcoming school year. Bring child’s proof of age, at least four pay stubs, and, if applicable, SNAP and WIC documentation. Classes for school year 2018-19 start Monday, August 13.
