Charlotte Rose open for business

PRESCOTT – Dreams do come true.

For Angie Hendrix, her dream was to open a flower shop in Prescott. It took years, but Wednesday morning, the dream came true as Charlotte Rose was officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Hendrix said the time was right for this to happen and she’s excited to be operating a business in her home town after working in Texarkana and Hope for years. She first got into the flower business when Heather Ratcliff put her in charge of Prescott Flowers after purchasing the establishment. “I’ve wanted a shop for a long time,” she said, “and now is the right time.”

Prescott Mayor Terry Oliver welcomed the business into town saying he knows how exciting it is to open a business. Oliver wished her the best of luck in her endeavor.

Jamie Hillery, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, encouraged everyone to support this new business.

Charlotte Rose was named after Hendrix’s mother Charlotte and the flower, rose. They offer hand made originals, silks, fresh flowers, arrangements for all occasions and painting. “We do a little bit of everything,” Hendrix said.
