Youngsters enjoy Cookies with Santa

PRESCOTT – Santa made a visit to Prescott Saturday morning, making a stop at the Nevada County Depot and Museum for Cookies with Santa.

Children were waiting for St. Nick to arrive before he got there, lining up out front on the chilly morning to let the jolly old elf know what they want for Christmas.

The museum was packed in a hurry with children lining up for their turn to Santa. One child asked where Mrs. Claus was and was told she was in another part of the museum serving milk and cookies.

Not only were milk and cookies available, but children were also given pieces of taffy and got to make jingle bell necklaces as well as watch the classic movie – “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”. St. Nick also gave the children activity books about trains. Moms took advantage of the visit to get pictures of their children with Santa.
