Patricia Ann Grigsby
Patricia Ann Grigsby was born in Bradley, Arkansas on October 18, 1958 to Ola Mae Stringer Harper and James Grigsby. She received her final call on Friday, December 6, 2019.
Patricia was known for her loud outspoken personality. You never had to wonder what she thought about you, she’d let you know, good or bad. She loved her family, dearly and enjoyed spending time with them when possible. She was extremely intelligent. After graduating from Bradley Schools, she attended nursing school in Houston, where she graduated with all A’s.
She was a loving, well-rounded natural born caregiver who did not limit herself to just nursing. She wore many hats throughout her life. Her love for people allowed her to become an honorary chef, sheriff and mediator to those around her. She also enjoyed working on cars and gardening. She was known for growing some sweet watermelons.
She was preceded in death by her aforementioned father and brother, James Grigsby, Jr.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Ola Mae String Harper of Lewisville, Arkansas; three children, Laterra Vonsalle Harris (Cedric), Shantera Rena Harris, Jeremy Eugene Harris (Tanzie) all of Houston, Texas; eight sisters: Daphnie Marie Grigsby of Denver, Colorado, Thelma Romaldo(Gerald), Gloria Jean Garza (Lee), Gloria Dean Johnson(Mac), Sheila Harper all of Houston Andrea Green (Quincy) of Lewisville, Arkansas, Karen Harper of Stamps, Arkansas andAntoinette Harper of Texarkana, Texas; nine grandchildren: Alexis Harris of Texarkana, Arkansas, Patrick Harris, Tre’DaisiaHarris, Aniaya Nelson, Jeremy Harris Jr., Toriana Washington, Mia Washington, Jaycee Harris and Kimi Washington all of Houston and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a Home Going Celebration for Patricia at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Bradley. Brandon’s Mortuary is entrusted with professional services. An online guestbook is available at www.brandonsmortuary.com.
