Ribbon cutting held for Granny’s Babies

PRESCOTT – A ribbon cutting was held for Granny’s Babies Thursday morning.

Because of inclement weather, the ceremony was held indoors. The business is owned by Delois “Miss D” Muldrew, who has 32-years experience with the Arkansas Department of Human Service. She retired in 2016, decided she was too young to do nothing and opened Granny’s Babies in Hope. In November  2019, she opened Granny’s Babies in Prescott because of the need. The business is located on Nevada 259 off Hwy. 371.

Muldrew said the day care provides a clean and safe environment for the children kept there. It offers a teaching curriculum and the children are served a hot breakfast and lunch. The idea, she said, is to look out for the needs of the children. The second in command is Kim McKay.

Granny’s Babies is open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, call870-887-2980, or 870-292-8281.
