The Case Of The Disappearing COVID-19 Cases

Two local, reputable sources have released incidences of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hempstead County, yet late Thursday afternoon those cases apparently disappeared off the healthy.arkansas.gov map. Neither Judge Jerry Crane nor County Health Officer Dr. Dale Goins knows what happened to them. Also, we spoke to Debbie Howard of the Hempstead County Health Unit and she said she had no idea what happened. Although none of the officials would speculate what happened, one possible scenario is the person tested had a Hempstead County mailing address but lived in an adjoining county such as Howard or Pike. Both of those counties have registered confirmed cases. But as of 4:45pm Friday, Hempstead County does not have a confirmed case.
