Hope Parks Suspends Baseball & Softball

HOPE – With the latest COVID-19 announcement from Governor Asa Hutchison concerning school closures, Hope Parks & Recreation has decided to suspend baseball and softball on their fields to a later date. Park personnel say they are hoping to start playing in June, but this will only take effect if social distancing has been lifted and people are allowed to be on the fields.
On a release the parks department said, “We truly hope everyone understands this is for the safety of our community. We are working closely with the Hope Baseball and Softball Association in making decisions that will still allow our kids to play ball at the appropriate and safe time.”
