First COVID-19 death recorded in Nevada County

PRESCOTT – Recently, Prescott and Nevada County has seen a spike in the number of cases of COVID-19, and the first death in the county has been recorded from the virus.

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, as of 9 a.m. Friday morning there were 87 known cases in Nevada County, with 17 recovering and one death. In Hempstead County, there are 41 cases, with 25 recovering and one dead. Pike County has had seven cases reported with six recovering, while there are 50 confirmed cases in Clark County with 42 recovering. For Ouachita County, the figures are 17  cases with 12 recovering.
