Four arrested by HPD

HOPE – On August 28, 2020, at approximately 8:25am, Howard County Sheriff’s Office arrested Deshawn Bishop, 31, of Hope, Arkansas for a felony warrant obtained by Hope Police Department for failing to register as a sex offender. Bishop was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On August 30, 2020, at approximately 12:23am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Joekwevious Marshall, 23, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with aggravated assault- choking without loss of consciousness. The arrest occurred in the 1600 block of W. 6^th Street in Hope, AR. Marshall was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On August 30, 2020, at approximately 12:23am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Shanel Beasley, 32, of Hope, Arkansas and charged her with domestic battery in the 3^rd degree and residential burglary. The arrest occurred in the 1600 block of W. 6^th Street in Hope, AR.  Beasley was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On August 30, 2020, at approximately 8:19am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Lemon Scott Jr., 29, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with domestic battery in the 3^rd degree and criminal mischief in the 1^st degree. The arrest occurred in the 800 block of Mack Street in Hope, AR.  Scott was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
