Highway 27 Crash Claims Life (Updated)

MINERAL SPRINGS – One person is dead and another injured in a three vehicle crash late Saturday night on Highway 27 North in Mineral Springs. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Brandi Turner, 33, of Lockesburg, was northbound when she apparently crossed the center line striking a 2016 Kia Optima heading south, then striking a southbound 2013 Dodge Avenger driven by Tony Ray Young, 58, of Mineral Springs, head-on. Young was killed and a minor in his vehicle was injured. The minor and Turner were transported to Christus St. Michael in Texarkana. The unidentified driver of the Kia was not injured.
