Firemen from Washington and Cross Roads responded to a house fire at 118 Jet Street in Washington shortly after 4pm Monday. The house was occupied by Alvin Booker who escaped injury. According to his sister, it is believed the fire started around a wood heater. The house appeared to be a total loss.
