Ozan Man Dies in Crash

COLUMBUS – An Ozan man is dead following an early Sunday morning crash in Columbus. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Michael E. Mays, 34, of Ozan, left the north side of Highway 73 in a 2007 GMC pickup and struck a tree. The weather was foggy at the time of the wreck at 1:29 am. The victim was pronounced dead at 3:30 am at Wadley Hospital in Hope by Dr. Michael Shaw. Trooper Robert Neece investigated.
