COVID vaccinations given at Express Rx

PRESCOTT – By the end of the day Friday, roughly 600 local residents will have been given their first COVID-19 vaccination.

Mini-mass clinics are being held at Express RX, with nursing students from the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana, getting hands-om experience in giving vaccines. Around 120 people received their first immunization injection Friday. Those vaccinated have to wait 15 minutes to make sure there’s no adverse reaction to the injection. These are two-stage immunizations using the Moderna vaccine. Those vaccinated Friday will return in 28 days for their second shot.
