Rotary has perfect weather for chili lunch
PRESCOTT – Timing couldn’t have been better for the Prescott Rotary Club’s annual chili luncheon Friday/.
Temperatures dipped below freezing and stayed there all morning, making it perfect chili weather. Two kinds of chili were offered, chicken and beef, with orders flying out the door well before the 11 a.m. start time.
Cosatot Vo-Tech of Nashville made a bench that was used as a door prize for one lucky patron. Around 20 gallons of chili was made for the event. Those looking for something hot for lunch had the option of having it delivered or driving by and picking it up.
All money raised from the event will be used to fund club projects.
The bench was won by Jerry Brezeski and the club ran out of chili before it’s 1 p.m. deadline.
