HOPE – The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber is seeking nominations for their annual awards. The community is encouraged to submit nominations for Citizen, Educator, Business, and Nonprofit of the Year.
“Nomination forms may be picked up at the chamber. We can also email forms if you submit your request to hopemelonfest@yahoo.com”, commented Beckie Moore, Chamber Director.
The chamber strongly encourages everyone to write letters in support of nominees. The award forms simply list the criteria for each category. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 2, 2021.
Due to COVID restrictions, the chamber cannot host an in-person Annual Meeting & Banquet at this point in time. If the restriction for large gatherings remains in place, the meeting/banquet will once again be virtual. The chamber will wait a few months before making that decision.
Christy Burns, President of the Chamber Board of Directors stated, “The annual awards present an opportunity to recognize and thank people in our community who have made a difference in their service to others.”
