Wanda Collins

Wanda was a Godly woman and lived her life dedicated to Christ.  She was a devoted wife to Del, nurturing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (Nana) to her 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren (number 9 is expected in October).  Wanda was also a legendary friend to so many.  She was active in her church, First Baptist of Hope, Arkansas, including an intercessory prayer team.  She worked as a mental health nurse at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas City.  After retiring, she volunteered at the Christian Care Clinic in Hope.   She was born in Sutton, Arkansas in 1931, the youngest of 9 children.  She married Del in 1953 and settled in the Kansas City area where they raised their 4 children and 1 foster daughter.  Wanda and Del retired back at her birthplace and continued to serve the Lord with great passion.

Wanda is survived by two daughters, Betsy Collins (Jim Williams), Kim Bergeron (Farley Bergeron), two sons, Mitch Collins (Debbie) and Nathan Collins (also Debbie), foster-daughter Robin Strain.  Grandchildren Luke Greene (Jennifer), Noah Greene (Julia), Summer Hawkey (Dustin Sherbert), Joshua Collins, Micah Collins (Abby), Logan Williams, Sterling Williams (Addie Barczewski), Mattie Collins (Lucas Lenz) Joel Collins (Sharon), Emma Collins, Sutton Williams, Jesse Collins (Rebekah) and Ann Marie Collins.  Great Grandchildren, Ashlyn Hawkey, Macy Jane, Everly and Emilia Greene, Hank Collins, Joel Collins, Brecken Sherbert and Joann Collins.
