Mountain Man Rendezvous Wraps Up at Prairie D’Ane

The Mountain Man Rendezvous at Praire D’Ane wrapped up last weekend.  The 37th annual event attracted over 100 members setting up camps, vendor booths,  and just generally enjoying a simpler way of life for a week.  The event was sponsored by the Early Arkansaw Reenactors Association.   The reenactors learned about the historic Civil War battleground after one of the members stopped  by LaGrone Williams Hardware to get a part for a black powder rifle.

Local Reenactor and volunteer Paul Ridgell said more than 2,000 hours had been put in to improve the battlefield.  The event was open to the public several days and attracted a good crowd to Nevada County.
