The plant is located on the former Temple/Georgia Pacific facility in the industrial park at Oakhaven. The plant will make wood pellets for use in bar b que grills. The facility will not only be a manufacturing plant but also a distribution center. The plant will eventually be the largest such pellet plant in the country. Bolton said the company choose Hope as a distribution center because it is strategically located the company’s customers. Some of the companies that sell Dansons products include Wal-Mart, Cabela’s, Lowe’s, Bass Pro, and Menard’s. You can find their Pit Boss products in these stores. Currently the plant has about 12 employees and the company hopes to expand the plant’s workforce up to 100 employees. The company also gives back 10% of their profits to Christian charities through the company’s foundations.
