Judy Marie Griffin

Judy Marie Griffin, 79, of Hope passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, in Little Rock, AR.

Judy was born October 17, 1941, in Hope, to James Thomas “Jimmy” and Ruby Cloris Hubbard Griffin.

She was retired from the Arkansas State Police starting on September 20, 1979 and retiring on June 30, 2010. Prior to working with the Arkansas State Police she was employed as the first female patrolman with the Hope Police Department.  When Judy wasn’t traveling or attending local auctions, she enjoyed spending time on her farm taking care of her cattle and many pets. A heartfelt thanks to her close friends Vicki Simmons, Amelia and Dennis Boyd and Jennifer Joy with Elite Home Health.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her long-time companion Travis Wayne Hardaway.

Survivors include one sister Sue Monk of Pasadena, TX: as well as numerous other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hope-Hempstead County Cancer Society.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 10:00am in Macedonia Cemetery Patmos with Rev. Kennan Williams officiating, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
