Street work in Emmet

EMMET – Elm and First street in Emmet are getting a facelift of sorts.

Actually, the streets are getting a two-inch overlay from a state aid project in conjunction with Cale. First Street is getting the overlay from Elm to North Walnut.

The projects will run around $300,000 altogether. Work hadn’t gotten far Thursday when rain set in forcing crews to stop.
