Mr. Norvis Johnson

Mr. Norvis Johnson, Sr., 92, of Stamps, Arkansas passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana Texas. Prior to his bout with health issues Mr. Johnson could be seen around the city of Stamps and its surrounding areas cruising in his beautiful black mustang convertible. He was a Baptist and member of Countyline Baptist Church of Stamps, Arkansas.
He was born to Mr. Harvey Johnson and Mrs. Ethel Davis-Johnson, November 11, 1930. He was a man who was recognized by most of the citizens of the city and was a hard-working man who loved and provided for his family. He spent a great deal of time when he was not working, bass fishing on Lake June in Stamps, Arkansas.
He met and married his wife, Mrs. Roseanna Loudermill-Johnson and remained married to her for fifty-seven years, until her death, eight children would be born to that union. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Mr. Robert Johnson, Sr, Mr. Leon Johnson, Sr, and Mr. J.W. Johnson, and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Hamilton, Mrs. Nancy Satterwhite and Mrs. Daisy Revels.
He is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories, four sons, Mr. Charles Ray Johnson of Stamps, Arkansas, Mr. Norvis{Carolyn) Johnson, Jr. of Bristow, Virginia, Mr. Sherman of Houston, Texas and Mr. Randall Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas. Four daughters, Ms. Carolyn Johnson-Nance of Texarkana, Arkansas, Patricia Monk of Denton, Texas, Barbara Diane Sharpe of Texarkana, Arkansas and Tonya (Charles) Johnson of Canal Winchester, Ohio. Three brothers, Mr. Arlester Johnson, Mr. Edker Johnson and Mr. Joshua Johnson all of Stamps, Arkansas. Four sisters Mrs. Geraldine Calton of Lewisville, Arkansas, Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Stamps, Arkansas, Mrs. Clemetine (John) Eason of Stamps and Mrs. Ernestine Vester of Texarkana, Arkansas. Twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, a special friend and caretaker Ms. Linda Morgan, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside Service will be held for Mr. Johnson at Lakeside Cemetery, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. There will be a public visitation at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street; Stamps, Arkansas 71860 from 11:00 A.M until 3:30 P.M.
