Percy Honea

Mr. Percy Monroe Honea, 91, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of Hope, AR passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 in Baton Rouge, LA.

Percy was born January 23, 1931 to Cyrus and Frances Smith Honea in Blevins, AR. Percy was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope, AR. Percy was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

Percy was preceded by his parents Cyrus and Frances Honea; brothers, William Clyde, Gilbert, and Arlis Honea.

Percy is survived by two daughters, Joy Soderstrom (Victor) of Oconomowoc, WI and Kay Ashford (Michael) of Baker, LA; grandchildren, Stephen Soderstrom (Kelly), Chaska MN, Leah Mallett, Chaska, MN. Megan Buesseler Goldvein VA, Stacy Soderstrom and fiancé, Ian Rocker,Jonathon Jonathan, Ellensburg, WA, Jonahan Kohn (Danley) of Prairieville, LA, Alyssa Kohn of Baker, LA, Nathaniel Kohn of Hong Kong; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Sanford (Bill); and many more family and friends.
