Prescott man killed in crash
RURAL CLARK COUNTY – A Friday crash south of Gurdon killed a Prescott man. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, a 2019 Ford Ranger driven by Victoria Hale, 58, of Prescott pulled out on U.S. Highway 67 in Clark County from the Little Mo’s Liquor Store parking lot into the path of a northbound 2019 Freightliner tractor-trailer rig. The report said the truck veered into the south bound traffic lane in an attempt to avoid the pickup but was unable to do so before colliding with the front bumper of the Ranger.
Killed was the pickup passenger, Junior Hale, 79, of Prescott. He was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. Victoria Hale was transported to St. Vincent for her injuries. Trooper Jackson Daniel investigated.
