County Line/Yancey VFD BBQ A Big Success

The annual County Line/Yancey VFD fundraiser was held April 4th at the Mennonite School north of Mineral Springs off highway 355.  The annual event draws a large crowd from across southwest Arkansas.  Those attending enjoyed bar b que beef, pork, and chicken along with the fixins and dessert.  After the meal an auction was held.

The fire department is located inside Hempstead County but also covers some of Howard County and several officials from both counties were on hand including Hempstead County JP Troy Lerew, Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton, and Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins.
