Perfect Weather Blesses 30th Annual UAHT Fish Fry

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana held their 30th Annual UAHT Community Fish and Chicken Fry on Thursday.  The weather cooperated and this year’s event one of the most comfortable ones ever.   At the event there were activities for the children including face painting, blowing bubbles, chalk, hopscotch and Jerga. There was also music.  UAHT Chancellor Dr. Christine Holt took to the stage to address the crowd and thank them for their support.  She noted the college has been serving southwest Arkansas for 58 years Pictured are teacher Richard Allen from Garrett Memorial with Leo Club Members Emma Wright (6th Grade) and Brooklyn Robertson (9th) also from Garrett.  Also  Anna Powell, the Director of Instructional Advancement, event organizer and Kathy Struckman, one of the sponsors of the event are shown.  As usual, the Hope Lions Club prepared the fish and Tyson chicken.  All proceeds will benefit the UAHT Foundation.
