City of Hope Kid’s Fishing Derby Draws Over 90 Fishermen

The annual Kid’s Fishing Derby sponsored by the Hope Parks & Recreation Department draw a large number of junior anglers on April 15th.  This year’s event drew over 90 kids and as the photos show, some big fish were caught.  The Arkansas Game & Fish stocks the “derby” pond at Lake Huckabee prior to the event and there are plenty of good “eatin’ size” catfish to be caught.  There were prizes given but we’d be willing to bet nothing made these kids any happier than landing a good sized catfish!
