Small Plane Crashes In Lafayette County

A small plane crashed in Lafayette County around 5pm Sunday evening.  The crash debris was concentrated in a wooded area off Lafayette County Road 18 near the Mars Hill Community.  The debris appeared to be spread over several acres and was visible from the road.  The crash occurred several hundred yards from a private grass airstrip.
