Emma Wright’s Eagle Scout Project

Emma Wright’s Eagle Scout project name was the “Trellis Pocket Park Project”.  On October 15th, 2022 Emma led her Troop 5 scouts and adult leaders to construct a trellis in the pocket park located in downtown Hope behind Hebrews Coffee. The steel beams were donated by New Millennium and the remaining hardware was donated by the City of Hope. The trellis was constructed to help hide the wall that is directly behind the trellis. The wall could not be taken down during construction because it is attached to the Hebrews building. The trellis will help hide the eyesore from the wall and add some beauty to the park once the flowers finish filling in.

Emma received the rank of Eagle Scout on October 2, 2023. Emma Wright joined Troop 5 in February 2019 and has held the following positions in Troop 5: Quartermaster, Senior Patrol Leader, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. Emma has completed 41 merit badges and is a member of the Order of the Arrow. She is currently an officer of the Order of the Arrow and holds the secretary and treasurer positions. Emma has participated in the National Order of the Arrow Conference at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in July 2022 and attended the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in Glen Jean, West Virginia in July 2023. She is currently a sophomore in the Hope Collegiate Academy and Hope High School. Emma is the daughter of Robert and Betty Wright of Hope, Arkansas.
