Southwest Arkansas Arts Council Unveils Exhibit of Michael Sherbert Works

The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council recently held a reception for the latest artist on exhibit, Michael Sherbert. The artist was thrilled with how the exhibit turned out. He showed up and played the guitar and later mingled with the guests.
During an interview, he talked about having worked for the Commonwealth Times newspaper in college and getting into art at the age the age of 4 years old, having broken the rules, and finding the teacher liked it.
Jennifer Block, Executive Director of SWAAC, said she was really excited to be able to share Sherbert’s art with the community. His work is not their typical exhibit.
Sherbert’s aim is not to make a fortune at art and is instead focused on the artistic aspect. He uses everyday items to create his artistic vision.
He has studied with some of the great New York artists and has been influenced by their work. One of the artists he got to know was Andy Warhol.
The exhibit will continue throughout the month of October.
