October Has Below Average Temperature, Above Average Rainfall

October in Hope showed a below average temperature and above average rainfall.  The average temperature was 58.23 degrees.  That compares to an average temperature of 63 degrees.  The hottest high came on October 1st with a high of 90 degrees.  The lowest low came on the last day of the month when the mercury dipped to 32.

Rainfall for the month was up 1.30 inches.  The total rainfall for October was 6.58 inches compared to an average of 5.28 inches.  The rain came early and late in the month.  One tenth of an inch was recorded October 4th and 3.90 inches was recorded on the 5th.  The next rain came on the 27th and rain was recorded every day on the last five days of the month.

The year-to-date rainfall recorded is 53.65 inches compared to an average of 43.98 inches.  Hope ended October up on rainfall by 9.69 inches.
