SARATOGA – Fire destroyed a wood frame house this morning on Highway 355 in Saratoga. The Saratoga Volunteer Fire Department was joined by others from Columbus and Yancey. Hempstead County Sheriff’s deputies were on-scene directing traffic and Pafford EMS responded. The resident was able to make it out safely.
