Cajun Christmas parade a hit

PRESCOTT – Parts of Main Street and intersections from the Senior Center to Central Baptist Church were blocked for the annual Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Thursday night.

This year’s parade was different as the theme was “A Cajun Christmas”. Floats showed people fishing, boiling crawfish and even Santa using an alligator to pull his sleigh. It was a sight to behold. Youngsters all along the route raced for the candy thrown out by those on the floats. The Bank of Delight employees did a routine as they walked the route.

As always, the final float, a vintage red pickup, featured Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Everyone attending had a good time.
