Weather perfect for Emmet Christmas parade

EMMET – For the last 30 years, the Emmet Vision Association (EVA), has been sponsoring the Emmet Christmas Parade.
This year was no different as the parade went off without a hitch and featured Santa as it always does. The parade was originally scheduled for Saturday night, but changed due to the threat of inclement weather. Monday night saw the floats, firetrucks and emergency vehicles line up at the former Emmet School and head through the streets of the community, ending up at the Chuck Wagon where Santa visited with children and everyone could get hot chocolate and cookies.
The youngsters flocked to Santa to let the jolly old elf know what they wanted for Christmas. Each one also received a stuffed animal. Meanwhile, the adults visited with one another and enjoyed the refreshments, which were welcome on a chilly night.
