Two Dead in Mobile Home Fire in Stamps

Two people are dead following a mobile home fire in Stamps on Tuesday (4-2).  According to Stamps Fire Chief Brady Gore, the Stamps and Lewisville Fire Departments responded to the 500th block of Noel Street in Stamps around 11:15pm.  Firemen found one person, 61 year old Timothy Strange  inside the home dead at the scene.  Another resident of the home had been rescued by a neighbor prior to the arrival of the firemen.  He was identified as 98 year old Truman Strange.  Mr. Strange was taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a Hot Springs hospital where he passed away around midday today (Wednesday 4-3).
