Randy Odom
Randall Ray Odom, age 65 of Hope, AR left his earthly body to be present with The Lord on
Monday, July 1, 2024. Randy was born in McCall, Idaho to Bob and Twyla Odom on September
6, 1958. Randy was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Randy was influenced by his father’s carpentry skills and constructed his first house when he
was 17. With an eleventh-grade education, Randy went on to become a successful business
owner. Later, Randy was so very proud to have his two sons join him in multiple businesses.
He also enjoyed giving back to the community especially when given the opportunity to help
someone on an individual basis. Those who knew him knew how strong, determined, and
generous he was. Those who were blessed enough to have known him on a personal level
knew that if Mr. Randy said it – that was the way it was.
Randy enjoyed early morning visits on the back porch with Sonya. If you were one of the lucky
ones you might get a four am phone call. He would clear his head while spending time with his
chickens, feeding his fish at the pond with his family, and working in his garden so that he would
have lots of vegetables to share with his friends. In the last few weeks, he loved sporting around
in his new 1947 Red Ford Coupe.
Those left to cherish his memory include the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Sonya Hart
Odom; his three children Shannon Odom Ramsey (Chris) of Lewisville, TX, Riley Odom (Briana)
