Harris awarded Bazzelle scholarship

ROSSTON – Brycten Harris is the 2024 recipient of the William L. & Mattie Bazzelle Scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded to a Nevada High School senior that will be attending an institution of higher education as a full-time student in the fall.

William L. and Mattie Bazzelle were former educators in the Oak Grove Public School (Rosston) prior to the consolidating of the five school districts.

Brycten will be attending Hesston University in Hesston, Kansas where he will be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Mechatronics.  Brycten graduated from Nevada School with highest honors.  He’s the son of Heather and AJ Jones and Roderick Harris and Jessica Jack.

Dr. William Bazzelle and Minnie Bazzelle are pictured presenting Brycten with a certificate of scholarship and a check for $1,000. (one-time payment).
