Michigan man sentenced to prison for 2022 case
HOPE – Aaron Yeary, 26 of Ann Arbor, Michigan appeared in Hempstead County Circuit Court on Monday, November 25th. Yeary, having been charged with Internet Stalking of a Child, pled guilty and was sentenced to forty (40) years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
The incident stems from March 2022, in which Yeary had become acquaintances with a juvenile via social media, then removed the juvenile from the State of Arkansas. The juvenile was found in Illinois days later, in the presence of Yeary.
Yeary was sentenced to prison in Illinois and after completion was extradited to Arkansas in September 2024.
The case was prosecuted by the 8th North Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ben Hale.
