Arkansas Democrats name Hope native Micah Wallace Comms Chief 

LITTLE ROCK — The Democratic Party of Arkansas announces Micah Wallace will head the State Party’s communications department after receiving Personnel Committee approval. Wallace, the President Emeritus of the Young Democrats of Arkansas and 2024 DPA Fisher – Shackelford honoree, joins the organization equipped with years of digital media and communications experience, honed by years spent running numerous campaign operations each election cycle.

“There is simply nothing she cannot do in the communications space, and Arkansas Democrats already know her work, attention to detail, and tireless work ethic,” said Grant Tennille, Chair of the Democratic Party of Arkansas. “Micah has worked with us for years, and we are ecstatic she’s coming to work every day at our office with the most talented State Party staff anywhere in the country.”

Wallace, a native of Hope, designed and executed a Party rebranding, expanded its press footprint with tactical earned media, and grew and professionalized its digital and social accounts.

“Working here is a dream come true,” explained Wallace, who has been organizing in Democratic politics since chartering the Gravette High School Young Democrats chapter at age 15. “I’m ready to tell the story of Arkansas Democrats, from our Southern hospitality to our heart for people, and our grit to make a real difference.

“I will work every single day to keep Arkansans informed about what’s happening in Little Rock and to spread the good word about how Democrats are working to provide economic relief to the hard-working folks across Arkansas.”

Wallace follows Reed Brewer as the State Party’s media contact. Since 2021, Wallace has run a local consulting firm that she co-founded with Brewer, who first started working with the State Party in 2018.
