Nevada County Quorum Court Meets, J.P. Curtis Lee Johnson Honored

State Senator Steve Crowell recognized the 45 years if service of Nevada County J.P. Curtis Lee Johnson at the Nevada County Quorum Court meeting Tuesday (12-10).  A flag that flew in his honor was presented and a statement honoring his dedication was read.
Motions to approve the previous month’s minutes and the financial statement passed.
The financial statement was discussed. There will be another budget meeting on Friday at 10:00 to finalize next year’s budget.
Stacy Stone of the Cooperative Extension Service talked about a group that went to a Farm Bureau convention in Hot Springs. He also congratulated JP Johnson and talked about how Johnson had made him feel welcome when he first started in Nevada County.
Ordinance 2024-10 passed appropriating the rest of the ARPA funds. County Judge Otwell made sure there were no objections beforehand.
On Monday December 23rd there will be a Christmas party at Ko Field’s Restaurant.
