UPDATE: Dansons employees injured in fire released from hospital

Dansons Plant Fire Injures Two Employees
Limited Damage to the Facility

(As Hope-Prescott News reported earlier, there was a fire Monday at Dansons. The company has released the following update.)

COLUMBUS, GA, December 24, 2024 – Dansons wood pellet plant in Hope, Arkansas, incurred a fire at approximately 3:40 pm local time on Monday, December 23, that injured two team members and caused limited damage to the facility. The fire was quickly contained to a small area. The team members received immediate medical treatment and were transported to LSU Medical Center for further treatment. Both team members have received medical treatment and are home with their families. The company has begun an internal investigation to determine the cause of the incident, and the plant will remain closed until further notice.

“Our focus right now is on the recovery of our two team members and supporting the entire team at this facility,” stated Tom Penner, Group President for W.C. Bradley Outdoor Cooking. “Thankfully, our team acted immediately to contain the fire, provided care to the two team members, and coordinated closely with emergency responders from the local community. The plant will resume operations once the company has completed its investigation and made appropriate repairs. Safety will remain our top priority.”
