Nevada Co. Depot & Museum Director Jamie Simmons award recipient
LITTLE ROCK – The Nevada Co. Depot & Museum has announced their director, Jamie Simmons, has won the W.L. Cook Award!
Preserve Arkansas says the Cook Award recognizes individuals, communities, or organizations that have proven their commitment to the preservation of their historic, cultural, and natural heritage through increased local participation in preserving heritage assets, fundraising, and the economic vitality of our communities. The Cook Award comes with a $2,000 cash prize.
Over more than 30 years of her career as a museum curator and director, Jamie Simmons has brought Arkansas history to life for community members, students, scholars, and visitors through her passion for Arkansas history and her tireless work in collecting, preserving, researching, and storytelling.
