Laura Sue England

Laura Sue England, aged 85, passed away on January 6, 2025. She was proceeded in death by sisters Mary Ann Smith, Edna Laumann, and brothers Travis England, Joe Mitchell England, Cecil England, and Jimmy England. Laura is survived by her sisters Ida Nell Thomas, Judy Ezell (Charles), one brother Bryan England, sister-in-law Claudia England, and a host of nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, and great great nieces/nephews.

Laura Sue was born on June 14, 1939, to Joe and Mary England in Shover Springs, AR. Laura was a 1957 graduate of Hope High School. She was retired from Columbia Sewing.

Laura was a devoted member of Shover Springs Baptist Church. She held many roles over the years including Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and Vacation Bible School teacher. Laura was also a long-time member of the Hope Quilters Guild and Hempstead County Extension Homemakers. Laura was well known for cooking for her friends and family. Since Laura was born on Flag Day, she was very patriotic and was often seen wearing a flag pin.

Visitation will be held at Brazzel Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Friday January 17, 2025. Funeral services will be held at Shover Springs Baptist Church on Saturday January 18, 2025, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shover Springs Baptist Church.
