Jerry Joe William McKamie

Jerry Joe William McKamie, 82, of Emmet, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Baptist Health and Rehab in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born March 1, 1942, in Hope, Arkansas, to James Victor and Opal Fant McKamie.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his two sons, James and David McKamie, one brother, Charles McKamie and two sisters, Doris and Billie Jean McKamie, along with other family and friends to cherish his memory.

Jerry worked as a janitor for the Hurst Texas County School district and enjoyed his work there.

In his leisure time, Jerry thoroughly enjoyed using his metal detector hunting for hidden treasures, being a collector of interesting objects/keepsakes, and fishing as well. He relished spending time with his family.

Jerry will be greatly missed by all of those who loved him. There will be a private celebration of life with his loved ones at a later date.
