Minnie Pearl White
It was Tuesday, October 6, 1959, when a beautiful baby girl named Minnie Pearl James, was born to George James Sr. and Versie Lee Maxwell in Hope, Arkansas. Minnie attended Hopewell School in Hope, AR, and was a devoted member of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ in Ashdown, AR, under the leadership of Pastor Lizzie L. Williams. Minnie also served in the outreach program Sister to Sister Ministries, where she dedicated her time to uplifting others.
On her birthday in the year 2000, Minnie married Bennie Floyd White Sr. She cherished spending time talking with family and friends and had a deep love for gardening. Minnie was a kind, loving, and caring woman who always put others before herself.
At the age of 65, Minnie received her angel wings in Texarkana, Texas on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. A resident of Nashville, AR, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured in the hearts of those who knew her.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, George James Sr. and Versie Lee Maxwell; husband, Bennie F. White Sr.; great-grandson, Deshun Willis Jr.; brothers, George James Jr. and Mitchell Henderson; maternal grandparents, Johnnie Webster and Joe Maxwell Sr.; paternal grandparents, Sally James and Jimmy James; niece, Kiffinea James; nephews, Eric McDonald and Stephen James.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, George Willis III (Shay) and Timothy Griffin; grandchildren, Shuntearia Monk (Aaron), O’Shenna Griffin, Jemarcus Dixon, Lashayla Devlin (Bakari Flenory), Deshun Willis Sr., and Trey Devlin Sr.; great-grandchildren, Jamarion, Amariuna, Kamari, Le’Rheya, Armoni, Kartiee, Trey Jr., and Ryann; sister, Aletha Fields; brothers, Henry James and Otis James; special niece, Tileda Stewart; goddaughter, Shamicle; and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and dear friends.
