Owen H. Terry, Jr.

Owen H. Terry, Jr. 66 of Cairo, Illinois passed away Sunday April 6, 2025. He was born January 23, 1959, to Owen H. Terry, Sr. and Rosemary Lane in Newport News, Virginia.

Owen graduated from Meridian High School in Mounds, Illinois and worked at the Wickliffe Papermill formerly (Westvaco) for many years retiring from there. He was of the Baptist faith. He married Pat Webb on November 21, 1998, who survives. Owen leaves to cherish his memories his wife Pat Terry, six children: Aaron Powell, Owen Terry, III., Nicholas Webb, Jasmine Terry, Damenya Howard and Nikeda Webb. Four brothers: Darryl Terry, Michael Terry, Warner and Wayne, six sisters: Deidre (Bill) Brown, Sonya Sheridan, Myra (Michael) Perry, Dionne (Lorenzo) Wiley, Tracy and Carol. Owen also had three cousins that he grew up with and they were like sisters and brothers: Mavron Lane, Victor Lane and Damenya Howard. In-Laws: Charles Riggens, Ronnie Riggens, Ardest Riggens, Donnell Riggens, Finney Riggens, George Riggens and Louis Riggens, Gloria Holmes and Barbara Cleaves. 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, five uncles: Larry Bolles, John Terry, Bobby Terry, Michael Terry and James Terry. Seven aunts: Betty Green, Vickie Schwass, Marshallese McClendon, Linda Sloan, Kay Suggs, Allene Reed and Phyllis Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial service for Owen H. Terry, Jr. will be held on Saturday April 26, 2025 at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, IL at 12:00 pm with Pastor Arthur Cassell, officiating. Memorial Visitation will be Saturday April 26, 2025, at the funeral home from 11:30 am until the service time at 12:00 pm. Cremation rites have already been accorded.
